Add a text or logo watermark in a corner, the centre, or tiled diagonally across the photo.

A watermark marks a photo as yours before you post it, send a proof to a client or share a document scan. A small corner mark is enough for credit; a tiled diagonal pattern across the whole image makes it much harder to crop out or reuse.

Use text (such as "© Your Name" or "SAMPLE") or your logo image. Size is set as a share of the image width, so the watermark looks the same on small and large photos. The preview is drawn with the same code as the final export, and the export is made at the original resolution in a background thread.

Photos are processed on your device only. Note that a visible watermark discourages casual reuse but cannot prevent it: a determined person can still retouch or crop it out.

How to use it

  1. Drop the photo you want to protect.
  2. Choose Text and type your watermark, or choose Logo image and pick a PNG logo (transparent background works best).
  3. Pick a position from the 9-point grid, or Tiled (diagonal), and adjust opacity, size, margin or tile spacing while watching the preview.
  4. Pick the output format and click Apply watermark, then download the result.

Frequently asked questions

Is the image uploaded anywhere?

No. The photo and the logo are read and drawn in your browser; the watermarked file is created on your device.

What opacity should I use?

Around 30-50% is visible without spoiling the photo. For proofs you do not want reused, a tiled watermark at 20-35% opacity covers the whole image while keeping it viewable.

Can I watermark many photos at once?

Not yet; this tool processes one image at a time. Your settings stay in place when you choose the next image, so repeating it is quick.

Which fonts are available?

System fonts already on your device (sans-serif, serif, monospace and a heavy display face). No fonts are downloaded, so the exact typeface may differ slightly between Windows, macOS, Android and iOS.

Does it keep the original resolution and format?

Yes, the export is made at full resolution (up to 8192 px on the longest side). By default PNG and WebP stay PNG and WebP; other formats become JPG. You can choose the output format yourself.
