Split a PDF into separate files
Split a PDF by page ranges such as "1-3, 5, 8-", every N pages, or one file per page, and download them individually or as a ZIP.

Type the ranges you need and each one becomes its own PDF: "1-3, 5, 8-" gives three files, pages 1 to 3, page 5, and page 8 to the end. You can also cut the document into equal chunks (every 2 pages for double-sided ID scans, every 10 pages for long reports) or save every page as a separate file. Turn on "put all ranges into one PDF" to extract a selection into a single document instead.
Pages are copied without re-rendering, so text stays selectable and quality is unchanged. File names include the page range (for example report-pages-1-3.pdf), and "Download all as ZIP" bundles every part into one archive, built in your browser.
Useful when a portal wants each document separately: the passport pages in one upload, the bank statement in another, or when an email server rejects one large attachment.
How to use it
- Choose a PDF. Its page count is shown.
- Pick a split method: page ranges, every N pages, or every page as its own PDF.
- For ranges, type them separated by commas, for example 1-3, 5, 8-.
- Click Split PDF and download the parts one by one or all together as a ZIP.
Frequently asked questions
Are my files uploaded?
No. The file is read and processed by your browser on your device; nothing is sent to a server. You can load the page, switch off Wi-Fi and it still works.
What range formats are accepted?
Single pages (5), ranges (1-3), open ranges (8- means page 8 to the end, -3 means pages 1 to 3) and the word "last" (5-last). Separate them with commas. Pages outside the document are reported so you can fix them.
Can one page appear in two files?
Yes. Overlapping ranges such as 1-3, 3-5 give two files that both contain page 3.
Is the ZIP compressed?
The ZIP stores the PDFs without further compression, since PDFs are already compressed; it is just a convenient bundle.
Does splitting lose quality?
No. Pages are copied as they are, including fonts and images.
